Following yesterday’s deadly attack at Istanbul’s Ataturk airport, Turkey has declared a day of national mourning for the 41 people killed and more than 230 injured.

And people can pay their respects in the District, too. The Turkish Embassy (2525 Massachusetts Ave. NW) is opening a book of condolences until 4 p.m. today, and from 10 a.m. to noon and 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. tomorrow, June 30.

Embassies often serve as places for D.C. residents to hold vigil and express their condolences over events and attacks that occurred in those countries.
