YouTube commenter Czarface Kilahh lost faith yesterday. The quest to get one million thumbs down votes on the Ghostbusters reboot trailer is falling short.
Kilahh and his ilk are pissed because the forthcoming film stars women as the eponymous busters of ghosts. (It is the most disliked movie trailer on YouTube, though, so good on you, Czarface Kilahh.)
Well, if they’re angry about that, just imagine how they’re going to feel when they see Ecto-1 cars cruising around D.C.—but Dan Akyroyd isn’t in the driver’s seat.
Lyft is offering a “Ghost Mode” promotion this Friday and Saturday, tied with the release of the film on July 15. People in D.C., New York City, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Boston will have the option to toggle in and ride for free in either one of the cars used in the new Ghostbusters or a replica from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. (Bummer that it’s not going late night, because you know that’s when the phantoms come to play.)
