Metro Transit Police have arrested the same man twice in less than three weeks on charges of exposing himself to female passengers.

William Madison Jr. was arrested on July 29 for an incident that occurred at the end of March. Police accuse Madison of exposing himself to a woman on a Franconia-bound Blue Line train.

Then on Monday, police say that Madison exposed himself again, this time on a Vienna-bound Orange Line train. Detectives used CCTV footage to identify him and arrested the 47-year-old again yesterday at the Huntington station.

Madison is currently being held on a $1,000 bond at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center, and he faces charges in both Arlington and Fairfax counties.

Detectives believe that there may be other victims and encourage anyone with information to call (301) 955-5000.

A survey of 1,000 Metro riders found that 21 percent of them had experienced sexual harassment on the system—of those, 8 percent was public exposure/flashing.
