A 77-year-old bicyclist died after a crash on Tuesday in College Park.

Robert Dickey, of Southeast, was riding a bike in a crosswalk near the 4600 block of Paint Branch Parkway when a car hit him, according to a release from the Prince George’s County Police Department. The incident took place around 7:30 a.m.

According to preliminary findings, the driver was stopped at a red traffic light, then pulled forward when the light turned green.

Dicky was taken to the hospital where he died several hours later. The driver stayed on the scene.

The case is still under investigation, and the Prince George’s County Police Department is asking anyone with information to give them a call at 301-731-4422.
