This week’s unseasonably warm temperatures may make history. While not quite breaking a record, it looks like tomorrow’s potential high of 85 degrees may tie with the October 18 high that was recorded in 1881 and 1938, according to the National Weather Service. Plus, it’ll also be somewhat humid tomorrow, the Capital Weather Gang reports.
The following two days will remain warm, but come just shy of record-breaking heat. On Wednesday, temperatures are expected to climb to 85 degrees—just three degrees below the record October 19 high that was also recorded in 1938. Thursday is expected to reach 83 degrees, also three degrees lower than the October 20 high of 86 degrees in 1969.
Thursday night will be a cloudy one, with possible rain showers and decreasing temperatures that will continue throughout the weekend. So take the next two days of warmth to enjoy the best beer gardens and iced coffee that D.C. has to offer.
