(Photo courtesy of the Metropolitan Police Department.) Police are searching for a man who they say has recently groped multiple women in the District.
Officials say the suspect committed the misdemeanor sex abuse offenses on Wednesday and Thursday in Northwest, according to the Metropolitan Police Department.
The first offense happened on Wednesday near the U Street Corridor on the 1900 block of 15th Street NW around 8:20 a.m. Around 5 p.m. on Wednesday, police say the suspect made another offense on the unit block of Logan Circle. And the following day around 8 a.m., police say he struck again near Thomas Circle on the 1300 block of Massachusetts Avenue NW.
In each case, he “approached the victim and groped her against her will.”
Police have released a photo of the possible suspect and are asking for the public’s help in identifying him. He’s described as a black male between 30 to 50 years old, 5’5″ tall with a heavy build, dark complexion, and a full trimmed beard. Police say he was wearing a red flannel type shirt when the offenses occurred.
