There are countless options for how to spend St. Patrick’s Day, and now there are two ways to score a free ride home after the revelry is done.

When the green beer beckons this Friday, Safe Ride and SoberRide are both offering up to $20-worth of transportation entirely free as a way to cut down on the temptation to drink and drive.

The Safe Ride Program comes from Yellow Cab Company and will operate from 9 p.m. to 3 a.m. beginning on March 17. The ride will cover any fare up to $20. The fine print: all trips need to start at a bar, restaurant, or other entertainment venue in D.C. and end at a residential address. To get a Safe Ride, call 202-420-7533.

The other option is courtesy of the Washington Regional Alcohol Program’s SoberRide, which is available for a full 12 hour span from 4 p.m. on Friday afternoon through 4 a.m. This will be the first time that SoberRide is partnering with ride-hailing app Lyft rather than an old school cab company. To get a SoberRide, enter the code “SOBERRIDE” into Lyft’s promo section. It too will cover the first $20 of the trip’s fare, as long as it’s in the D.C. coverage area.
