The only scheduled Metrorail maintenance this weekend is on the Blue and Yellow Lines, which are part of SafeTrack Surge #13. Blue Line trains are running every 24 minutes between Franconia-Springfield and Largo Town Center, and Yellow Line trains have the same intervals between Huntington and Mount Vernon Square.
Metro officials announced last week that they’re extending the surge by three days “to make up time lost” during Winter Storm Stella and the wind and cold temperatures that followed. The project now runs through April 12.
Meanwhile, the Red, Orange, Silver, and Green line trains will run on a normal weekend schedule.
