Police arrested a woman yesterday afternoon after she tried to jump over a bike rack-style barrier outside of the White House, according to The Washington Post.

The incident took place around 2 p.m., a Secret Service spokesperson told The Post. The surrounding area was shut down for about 45 minutes and the unidentified woman was charged with unlawful entry.

Among other recent security incidents near the presidential mansion, police arrested a man for jumping over a bike rack on Pennsylvania Avenue in “an apparent attempt” to get to the White House fence. That same day, Secret Service agents detained a man who drove a vehicle up to a checkpoint near the White House, claiming to have a bomb in his trunk.

And in a more high-profile breach on March 10, a man jumped several fences and remained on the White House grounds for about 15 minutes before being arrested. Two Secret Service agents have reportedly been fired over that incident.

A permanent plan for a significantly taller fence cleared the final regulatory hurdle in February. The new structure will be 11 feet, seven inches, including “pencil point” anti-climb fixtures at the top. The U.S. Secret Service and National Park Service plan to start construction in 2018.
