This post has been updated with changes to the Red Line’s schedule.
Metrorail riders should prepare for multiple stations closures this weekend, among other service disruptions.
On Saturday, Greenbelt and College Park stations will remain closed as part of Green Line maintenance for SafeTrack Surge 14. On Sunday, College Park station will reopen, but Greenbelt will remain closed through May 14.
Farragut West, McPherson Square, and the lower level of Metro Center will shutter this weekend for a ceiling tile replacement project that’s rescheduled from last weekend. This project impacts Orange and Blue Line riders who will have to catch shuttle buses between Federal Triangle and Foggy Bottom stations. And trains along these two lines will run every 15 to 20 minutes.
Elsewhere on Metrorail, Silver Line trains will run every 20 minutes between the Wiehle-Reston East and Ballston stops only, and Yellow Line trains will operate every 20 minutes between Huntington and Mount Vernon Square stations only.
The Red Line doesn’t have any scheduled maintenance work or disruptions. After Thursday’s mess, Metro will be single tracking on parts of the Red Line downtown for “stray current testing.”
