Five Metro stations are closed this weekend among service disruptions on all six lines.
SafeTrack Surge 15 has shuttered New Carrollton, Landover, Cheverly, Deanwood, and Minnesota Avenue stations on the Orange Line, which will run trains every 16 minutes between Vienna and Largo Town Center. Blue Line trains are also running every 16 minutes to accommodate the repairs.
Some riders may have to use alternative lines to complete their trips on the Silver and Yellow Lines, which aren’t running their complete routes. Silver Line trains are running every 16 minutes between Wiehle-Reston East and Stadium-Armory only, and Yellow Line trains will operate at 16 minute intervals between Huntington & Mount Vernon Square only.
The Green Line, which will be single tracking between Georgia Avenue and Fort Totten for maintenance work, will run every 16 minutes as well.
Single tracking is also taking place on the Red Line between Friendship Heights and Medical Center, and trains will run every 8 to 15 minutes.
