More than others across the country, Washingtonians have asked for online help spelling the word ‘ninety’ this year. We shouldn’t feel too bad, though, because apparently some folks at Google can’t spell it either.

In a tweet on Tuesday announcing its annual list of “America’s most misspelled words,” the tech company spelled it as ‘nintey’ on its map.

The good thing for us is that the numerical version of the word is commonly accepted. Google eventually corrected that mistake, among others.

Meanwhile, Marylanders prove they’re not that ‘special,’ while Virginians have struggled to spell ‘delicious,’ according to Google, which pulled data on the search query “how to spell” in each state (and D.C.) between January 1 and April 30.

The list comes as kids are currently battling it out at the National Harbor to win the Scripps National Spelling Bee—which has become a money maker for former teen contestants who are charging up to $200 an hour to train their younger peers, according to The Washington Post.

Perhaps a teen coach would benefit President Donald Trump who reportedly tweeted an incomplete sentence around 12 a.m. this morning, seemingly misspelling the word ‘coverage.’ It read: “Despite the constant negative press covfefe.”

About six hours later, the post was deleted and Trump referenced it by saying:

This year, Google’s report also points out which states fumbled words on based on size. For instance, Rhode Islanders couldn’t figure out how to spell a shorter word, ‘liar’, and Georgians had trouble spelling ‘gray.’

People in 39 states have had trouble spelling words with six to 10 letters like ‘vacuum,’ ‘patient,’ ‘banana,’ ‘priority,’ and ‘diamond.’ According to Google, residents of Wisconsin want to learn how to spell … ‘Wisconsin.’

The most common query was ‘beautiful,’ which has tripped up people in New York, Ohio, Kentucky, Minnesota and California.

Understandably, residents of West Virginia and Connecticut couldn’t nail down Mary Poppins’ ‘supercalifragilisticexpialidocious.’
