Trying to get to (or through) downtown this weekend? Beware!
Two and a half Metro stations will be closed, making crosstown travel on the Blue and Orange lines a real hassle. Farragut West and McPherson Square will be shuttered entirely, along with the lower level of Metro Center. Local and limited buses will take riders between Foggy Bottom and Federal Triangle instead. The Silver Line, meanwhile, will only run from Wiehle-Reston East and Ballston.
Elsewhere, the Red Line will have single tracking between Fort Totten and Silver Spring, with 20 minute headways throughout the entire line.
Yellow and Green line riders have it free and clear, though, with regular weekend schedules in effect.
