While the city’s outdoor pools have all closed for the season, the Marie Reed Aquatic Center is welcoming swimmers to jump back in the waters after a major modernization project.

The Department of Parks and Recreation closed the aging indoor facility in May of 2016. It reopened today with new weekday hours; as of now, it is not open on weekends.

The city’s outdoor pools finished closing for the season on September 4, but in addition to Marie Reed, there’s a number of indoor facilities.

The Marie Reed Aquatic Center (2200 Champlain St. NW) is now open on weekdays from 6-9 a.m. and 4-9 p.m. It is closed on weekends.
