Medical Center and Bethesda stations will be closed on Metrorail this weekend as crews work on rail tie renewal, joint elimination, and leak mitigation projects.
Metro advises Red Line passengers to add 10 minutes of travel time to their commutes and catch free shuttle buses between Friendship Heights, Bethesda, Medical Center, and Grosvenor-Strathmore stations.
Meanwhile, Orange and Blue Line trains will run every 24 minutes this weekend as crews work on joint elimination, fastener and cover board renewal, and communication cable installation projects that will cause single-tracking on both lines.
