Police charged a man who they say ran away naked after trying to sexually assault a woman in her home on Saturday.

Prince George’s County detectives say that 23-year-old Khary Edwards, of Southeast, forced his way into the victim’s home in Camp Springs, Md. around 11:55 a.m.

He attempted to sexually assault the woman, who he did not know, and stole items from her home, according to a PGPD release. The first officer who arrived on the scene saw a nude Edwards running from the home and chased him on foot.

After he lost sight of Edwards, other officers began canvassing the area. They found him—clothed at that point—and arrested him after another foot chase.

He was charged with attempted murder, attempted rape, and robbery, among other offenses.
