We’re halfway through June in D.C. and the weather right now is absolutely sublime. Friday boasts temperatures in the mid-80s and a lovely breeze. It’s very nice out—I recommend taking a walk.
On Saturday, you can expect more delightful weather, if slightly warmer. The National Weather Service forecasts a sunny day with a high around 87 degrees, along with a “light and variable wind.” Humidity? Never heard of it.
Enjoy that ignorance while you can.
Words like “hotter conditions” and “muggier” start creeping into the NWS forecast for Sunday, which has temperature highs in excess of 90 degrees.
NBC Washington’s meteorologists really aren’t mincing words: “Heat wave on the way.” WUSA’s weather team is also using the phrase “heat wave,” forecasting that it’ll feel like it’s more than 100 degrees out by early next week.
