If your weekend plans involve the Red Line, be advised: the Union Station and NoMa-Gallaudet stations are closed, and riders will have to take shuttle buses to stops between Judiciary Square and Rhode Island Avenue. Technicians will be repairing a broken switch. But take heart: the trains will be running 10 minutes apart for most of the day, which is faster than the other lines this weekend.
The Orange, Silver, and Blue lines will all be running 26 minutes apart. The Silver line is running between Wiehle-Reston East and Ballston only, to allow for “rebuilding” on the Orange and Blue lines. The Yellow and Green lines are running 15 minutes apart, but—as with many a weekend—the Yellow Line is only running up to Mount Vernon Square.
