D.C. police arrested a 14-year-old boy in possession of a .22 caliber handgun at Kramer Middle School on Q Street Southeast around 1 p.m. on Monday, according to the Metropolitan Police Department.

Police received a call about an unauthorized person inside the school at 12:54 p.m., a department spokesperson told DCist Monday afternoon. When they arrived at the school, the suspect was found on the ground floor of the school building, according to an incident report provided by MPD. The boy was arrested. He is a student at the school, a Kramer Middle School spokesperson told the Post.

The boy allegedly pointed the gun at an unidentified person in a stairwell earlier that day and said told “if you tell anyone I will shoot you.”
