Bundle up and be sure to check the Metro schedule before heading to one of the many Super Bowl parties this weekend in D.C. Metro rail service will be running slow and single tracking on almost all lines this weekend due to rail fastener renewal, track bed lighting installation, and joint elimination on the Yellow, Silver, Blue, and Red lines.
The Orange, Blue, and Silver lines will be running at 20-24 minute intervals all weekend. The Red Line will run every eight minutes along most of the route during the day, while the Yellow Line is running every 20 minutes on Saturday, and a regular weekend schedule on Sunday. The Silver Line is once again running its regular route from Wiehle Reston East to Largo Town Center, but the Blue Line will be running between Franconia-Springfield and New Carrollton this weekend. If you’re traveling to Benning Rd, Capitol Heights, Addison Rd, Morgan Blvd and Largo Town Center, take the Silver Line.
