The tides of change continue on H Street NE: Star & Shamrock Tavern And Deli, a popular Jewish deli/Irish pub combo, is closing after the weekend of February 15-18. The owners posted the news on Twitter and Facebook on Monday, saying they “are excited to shift our focus to new opportunities and projects.”

The bar has seen its surroundings shift pretty substantially since it got to H Street NE in 2010. But some things will be staying the same: according to the announcement, Bullfrog Bagels, which operates out of Star & Shamrock’s deli, will be replacing the bar. The bar was actually Bullfrog’s first location, before the bagel shop took up residence in Eastern Market.

The tavern asked patrons to stop by for its farewell weekend February.
