Every train line will be running with delays this weekend due to regularly scheduled track work and maintenance—plan accordingly.

The Orange, Blue, and Silver lines will be running the slowest, at 24 minutes apart. All three lines are single tracking in different sections to accomodate for grout pad renewal and other maintenance. The Red Line will run every eight minutes apart from Farragut North to Silver Spring until 9:30 p.m. It’s running every 16 minutes between Shady Grove and Glenmont all day Saturday and Sunday.

The Green Line, so often our savior on weekends, is also running slow: trains are running every 16 minutes apart to allow crews to install cables to support cell service in the tunnels. Trains on the Green Line will single track between L’Enfant Plaza and Navy Yard.

The Yellow Line is actually running at normal weekend intervals, but—as usual—it’s on a limited service, going only up to Mount Vernon Square. If you want to go further than that, you’ll have to take the Green Line.
