This summer, if you’re able to snag a ticket, you can watch Venus Williams play in a 700-seat tennis arena on the rooftop of Union Market.

The Washington Kastles, D.C’s professional tennis team, will play its 2019 season on the new courts, the team announced Friday. The team’s season lasts for seven games, from July 15-27.

If you didn’t already know, the Kastles boast some pretty impressive names: Venus Williams plays on the team, as does College Park native and 2019 Australian Open quarterfinalist Francis Tiafoe, and former #13 player in the world Nick Kyrgios. The team started out in 2008, playing at what would later become City Center, and then moved to a location on The Wharf. After they had to leave that site to make way for major redevelopment in the area, the Kastles started playing at George Washington University, where they’ve been for the last four years.

This summer they’ll be back outdoors at a relatively small stadium of just 700 seats. Previous Kastles matches have sold out at 2,200 and 3,500 seats, team owner Mark Ein says in a press release. Because of that, the team expects tickets for each of the seven matches to sell out quickly. Season tickets are now available on the Kastles’ site.

Ein, who also owns the Washington City Paper and recently took ownership of the Citi Open, announced the news along with Ward 5 Councilmember Kenyan McDuffie and Josie McLean, the CEO of EDENS, the developer of Union Market.

There will be VIP seating options available at the stadium, where ticket-holders can sit at dinner tables and be served food from downstairs in Union Market. There will also be premier courtside boxes, baseline seating, and sideline seating, “along with more affordable options so that everyone can enjoy the Kastles experience,” according to the release.

The courts will operate as a pop-up at first, but EDENS has proposed plans for an “8,000 square foot park and entertainment venue” on the roof to the Zoning Commission, suggesting that the stadium will become a permanent fixture.
