Throughout the exhibit’s run, Rise Up will feature journalists, policymakers, and writers who have led the fight for equality with regards to housing, employment, and public accomodations discrimination. Educational resources are also available at the exhibit. (The Newseum, on display through December 31, adult tickets to the museum are $25)

The National Museum of American History is opening the exhibit Illegal to Be You: Gay History Beyond Stonewall this month. (DC9, available throughout June, $13)
