Another three-day holiday weekend (for most of us) means another excuse for Monday brunch. This time, we’re celebrating Presidents’ Day. And there are plenty of opportunities to get your brunch on around the area, especially at eateries named after our presidents and other Founding Fathers.

Ambar
2901 Wilson Blvd., Clarendon

At Ambar Clarendon, fuel up on an unlimited lineup that includes pulled pork Benedict, beet tzatziki with yogurt, roasted beets and garlic or the grilled veggie flatbread served with homemade pesto, garlic, and seasonal vegetables. Wash it all down with $0.25 mimosas (traditional and berry), peach bellinis, bloody Marys, red wine punch, or the brunch aperitivo with fortified wine, orange juice, and Balkan sparkling wine. Brunch runs from 9:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m., and costs $34 excluding tax and gratuity. Brasserie Liberté

Start the day with orange mascarpone French toast, pancakes with dulce de leche and blueberries, or the avocado Benedict and more at this restaurant that prides itself on using traditional cooking methods to honor French cuisine. Brunch runs from 11 a.m.-4 p.m.

Buena Vida
8407 Ramsey Ave., Silver Spring
2900 Wilson Blvd., Clarendon

Buena Vida’s locations in Silver Spring and Clarendon are each throwing their own bottomless Presidents Day brunches, so here’s the lowdown on both. In Silver Spring, the menu includes highlights like bacon and avocado quesadillas, potato and Oaxaca cheese flautas, mushroom tacos, and Mexican chocolate. Over in Clarendon, expect concha French toast, shrimp burgers, tuna-stuffed avocados, and more. Brunch at Buena Vida Silver Spring costs $35 a person, and in Clarendon, it’s a dollar cheaper. In both cases, brunch must be ordered by the whole table, and runs from 10 a.m.-3 p.m.

Le Diplomate

Get to this buzzy brunching destination early for dishes like stacks of buttermilk pancakes, its burger Américain and its beloved duck sarladaise (confit, egg sunny side up, and roasted potatoes). Brunch runs from 9:30 a.m.-3 p.m. and reservations are recommended.

The Greenhouse at the Jefferson Hotel
1200 16th St NW

Feeling decadent? Indulge in pricey brunch standbys here like a stack of lemon ricotta pancakes for $17 or $21, or the $32 lobster eggs Benedict. Indulge your sweet tooth with $14 desserts such as Tahitian vanilla crème brûlée, caramel pecan pie, or strawberry shortcake.

The Hamilton
600 14th St. NW

While Alexander Hamilton never became president, he’s a Founding Father all the same and helped establish the Treasury Department. And with brunch items like $16 butternut squash quiche, a $15 Hamilton burger, and $14 boozy milkshakes, the brunch here won’t quite break the bank. Brunch runs until 4 p.m.

Lincoln Restaurant
1110 Vermont Ave NW

Head into the restaurant named after our 16th president for its $52 all-you-can-eat brunch that gets you unlimited chicken & waffles, shrimp & grits, access to omelet and waffle stations, two sides, and bottomless mimosas or bloody Marys. You also have the option of ordering dishes a la carte, opting for the $41 all-you-can-handle waffle and omelet stations, or drinking bottomless cocktails for $21. Brunch is served from 10:30 a.m.-4 p.m., and don’t forget to pick up a free button in honor of Lincoln before you make your way out.

Mon Ami Gabi
7239 Woodmont Ave., Bethesda

Fill up on the French bistro’s basics like ham and cheese crêpes, waffles with Nutella, and mussels marininère with white wine and herbs. Bonus: bloody Marys and mimosas cost $4 at the bar. Brunch begins at 10 a.m. and you’ll want to make your reservations here.

Old Ebbitt Grill
675 15th St. NW

Founded in 1856 and billed as the oldest saloon in D.C., Old Ebbitt Grill is said to have had several presidents—Ulysses S. Grant, Andrew Johnson, Grover Cleveland, Theodore Roosevelt and Warren Harding—stop by for drinks. Its extensive menu includes an wide array of brunch favorites, like cornmeal-crusted catfish from the Chesapeake Bay, steak and eggs, and brioche French toast. Brunch runs from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

St. Anselm
1250 6th St NE

Slide into a booth featuring one of our past presidents and scarf down brunch standouts like buttermilk biscuits, the S.O.S. (Reading Terminal Market chipped beef on toasted white bread) or eggs in purgatory (spicy tomato stew and duck egg in a hole). Brunch goes from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Teddy & the Bully Bar

Grab President Teddy Roosevelt buttons here before stuffing your face with items from the restaurant’s shared brunch experience. There’s unlimited small plates with bottomless mimosas and bloody Marys for $53 (drinks only for $25) and unlimited waffle and omelet stations for $29. If none of those options work, you can always order a la carte. Brunch goes from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

TTT Mexican Diner

Bring your empty stomach to TTT Mexican Diner stop to indulge in an unlimited brunch that’s just $29.99, plus $0.25 per drink.
