The Mother’s Day doughnut special at Astro Doughnuts & Fried Chicken

/ Astro Fried Chicken & Doughnuts/Albert Ting

Heads up: Mother’s Day is this Sunday, May 10. Gatherings will need to be smaller than normal, and brunches will be at home rather than on patios in the spring air. But don’t let being stuck in the house mean being stuck in the kitchen. Some of D.C.’s best chefs are ready to serve up something special for the mother in your life. Whether it’s a packaged brunch for two, a family-style dinner, or a simple sweet treat, there’s an option out there to make the day special.. Here are some of the best options for takeout and delivery, including information on when and how to order.
