A winter snowstorm may blanket the D.C. region with four to eight inches of snow and leave a slick of ice on the roads, the National Weather Service says.
The service said Saturday morning that snow was likely in D.C., and parts of Virginia and Maryland from late in the evening through late Sunday night.
The Capital Weather Gang says D.C. has not any significant accumulation of snow in two years, but this weekend is nearly guaranteed to change that. It says the chances of snow are nine out of ten.
