AAPI ARTISTS: Friday is the first day of We Are Home, an exhibition that features 19 artists of Asian and Pacific Islander descent. Proceeds from the show will go to AALEAD (Asian American Youth Leadership, Empowerment, and Development), Black Lives Matter DC, and Collective Action for Safe Spaces. STAND UP: In-person is back! Kick-off your weekend with DC Improv and the first night of their Stand Up Showcase. The show will last around 90 minutes with a lineup that includes voices from across the region. If you can’t make Friday’s slots, tickets are also on sale Saturday and Sunday. LET’S GO SHOPPING: On Saturday, head to Soufside Market for their pop-up “cash mob” to support local Black-owned businesses in the region. The event will feature Sandlot SE, Market 7, and ARCH Development. Bring your cash and get ready to purchase everything from food to clothing to body care products. (Soufside Market; 10 a.m.-3 p.m.)
FOOTBALL (THE OTHER KIND): This Saturday, English soccer teams Manchester City and Chelsea are facing off in the UEFA Champions League Finals — and Wundergarten is pulling out all the stops. In partnership with the British Embassy, the NoMa beer garden will be hosting a watch party complete with British beers, food trucks, and a raffle to benefit DC Scores. VIRTUAL FESTIVAL: The inaugural Uprise DMV Festival is happening this Saturday — and you don’t even need to leave your couch to attend. Presented by NUNAR magazine and the Sunrise DC Movement, the four-hour live-streamed celebration will feature conversations and music that explore “a way forward in the spirit of collective liberation.” (4 p.m.-8:30 p.m.; $5.00+ )

ROLLING TO REMEMBER: This weekend, Rolling to Remember (the motorcycle group honoring fallen soldiers) is coming to the District. Events take place all weekend long, but on Sunday is the bikers will start at the RFK’s stadium at noon before circling the National Mall. Residents can watch the event along the mall, but only bikers will be allowed in the rally area. (Various locations, 12 p.m.; FREE to watch)
WINE TASTING: On Sunday, head to Via Roma Pizzeria for Vino Sunday Sips, an in-person wine tasting in Camp Spring, Maryland. The event is first come first serve and will be hosted by @themillennialsomm, Isis Daniel. Participants will try three selected wines and learn more about backstories and recommended food pairings. MONDAY MAY 31
PARADE: The National Memorial Day parade is taking place this Monday “to salute military & fallen heroes from the Revolution through Afghanistan and Iraq.” The three-hour event will travel along the National Mall with marching bands and veteran units from each state — but won’t be open to the public. The parade will be available to watch live on WJLA. (5 p.m.; FREE)
VIETNAM VETERANS MEMORIAL: On Monday, the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund will host a ceremony at the Memorial on the National Mall. The in-person event will be limited due to coronavirus restrictions, but participants can also check out the ceremony online. All in-person attendees are encouraged to wear a mask. (Vietnam Veterans Memorial; 1 p.m.-2 p.m.; FREE)
SOLIDARITY RALLY: This Monday, Solidarity Against AAPI Hate is hosting an event on the National Mall “to cap off AAPI Heritage Month and honor Americans soldiers who sacrificed their lives while serving our country.” The first part of the action will include entertainment, followed by a rally. Asian and Pacific Islander American Vote will also be there registering participants to vote. (The National Mall between 7th and 9th Street; 1 p.m.-6 p.m.; FREE)
BRASS BAND: Experience the cookout show wherever you’re celebrating Memorial Day. On Monday, DuPont Brass is performing their virtual show, “Rhythm & Grills: The DuPont Cookout.” The interactive concert will kick off with DJ Chubb E Swagg followed by a 75-minute set from DuPont Brass. (8 p.m.; FREE)
