With the recent appointment of new Metro General Manager Randy Clarke, maybe there’s hope for some fresh ideas to bring the Metro up to speed. But for now, there will be the same old slow Metro this weekend.
Most of the lines will again experience delays from single tracking and construction. Single tracking to fix leaks will slow down the Red line to every 16 minutes. It will also delay the Green and Yellow lines, which will run every 18 minutes due to radio cable installation.
Five Orange line platforms are still closed due to the Metro Platform Improvement project, but despite the construction, the line will run every 10 minutes, faster than in the past few weeks. However, the Blue and Silver lines are still experiencing interruptions between Stadium-Armory and Benning Road. Free shuttles are still available to connect riders to their destinations.
