Whether you’re looking to take home a traditional Thanksgiving dinner, take home a meal that’s not so traditional, or go out to eat on Turkey Day, D.C.-area restaurants are ready to feed friends and family this holiday season. Here are some of the highlights for holiday meals around town. Don’t forget to check on availability for restaurants and takeout orders over the coming week, orders tend to sell out fast.

Virginia

TRUMMER’S

Takeout or dine-in: Clifton, Virginia restaurant Trummer’s will offer two Thanksgiving menus this year. The dine-in menu features a four-course, family-style menu featuring items such as cornbread, a kale harvest salad and green bean casserole and entrees that include a rotisserie heritage turkey, spit-roasted porchetta — an Italian preparation of a stuffed pork loin — and whole-roasted branzino with sides like cranberry relish, sweet potato mousse and cornbread dressing. The full dine-in menu is available for $87 per person and $39 for children under 12 and will be served between 11:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Reservations for dine-in are recommended. ASSEMBLY

Takeout: Located above the Rosslyn Metro Station, Assembly food hall is offering a to-go Thanksgiving menu for six people with all the traditional fixings. There’s roasted turkey, gravy, mashed potatoes, and green beans on the menu, as well as a list of a la carte sides that can be added on for an additional cost. LENA’S WOODFIRE AND TAP

Dine-in: Located in the Del Ray neighborhood of Alexandria, Lena’s Woodfire and Tap is offering a Thanksgiving dine-in special featuring classic Thanksgiving dishes and a selection of holiday wine choices. Tuscan rosemary and garlic rubbed turkey is on the menu, as well as a prime rib special and alfredo mac and cheese. (401 E. Braddock Road, Alexandria. Reservations here.)

BAR IVY

Takeout: Arlington’s West Coast-inspired eatery Bar Ivy is selling family-style Thanksgiving Dinners to-go, taking care of everything from the turkey to the gourmet sides and pies. Their menu, priced at $225 for four people, includes herb-rubbed turkey breast and gravy, cornbread and sausage stuffing, brown butter mashed potatoes, green bean and wild mushroom casserole, brussel sprouts, sweet potatoes, rolls, and a pumpkin pie. LEBANESE TAVERNA

Takeout: Lebanese Taverna’s Thanksgiving to-go features all the makings of a traditional holiday meal, but with a home-style Lebanese twist. The a la carte menu includes mains such as a lamb leg roast, or sumac-rubbed roast turkey served with spiced rice, toasted nuts, and gravy. Side options include roasted za’atar potatoes, fried cauliflower, lentil rice, and hummus, while dessert comes in the form of baklava-crusted pumpkin cheesecake. (There are also family-meal options that serve four based around chicken shawarma or falafel, among others.) MONEY MUSCLE BBQ

Takeout: Silver Spring’s Money Muscle BBQ will offer a special to-go Thanksgiving dinner for four packed with smoky flavors. Priced at $195, the holiday menu includes a choice of mains between seared salmon, smoked turkey, fried turkey, and smoked prime rib, as well as a selection of sides. A la carte mains are also available for purchase. Pre-orders for the meal are now open and must be placed by Sunday, Nov. 20 by 2pm. PENNYROYAL STATION

Takeout: Pennyroyal Station Chef Jesse Miller already knows that comfort food is key. That’s why for their Thanksgiving special, they’re focusing all on the sides. Taking care of the turkey yourself? Pennyroyal has sides covered, including biscuits, pork-braised collard greens, bone marrow and smokey brisket mac-and-cheese, or a sweet potato curry mash. Not trying to eat turkey? FRANKLINS RESTAURANT, BREWERY, AND GENERAL STORE

Takeout: Hyattsville neighborhood watering hole and restaurant Franklins is offering a Thanksgiving meal kit for a perfect holiday at home. The kit includes sliced turkey breast, gravy, mashed potatoes, stuffing, mixed vegetables, corn pudding, and cranberry relish for $90. FRYER’S ROADSIDE

Takeout: Fryer’s Roadside, the Silver Spring chicken and ice cream stand recently acquired by Chef Edward Reavis and Jennifer Meltzer, will debut a Thanksgiving dinner special ahead of its official reopening scheduled for later this fall. The to-go meal is designed to feed four and includes a choice of whole fried chicken or Maryland Southern country fried chicken. Priced at $125, the menu also includes a variety of sides including potato salad, mac and cheese, and garlic string beans. VOLTAGGIO BROTHERS: 

Dine-in: The Voltaggio brothers are bringing the family-style vibe to their MGM National Harbor steakhouse with a prix-fixe Thanksgiving spread that includes option such as shrimp cocktail, sweet potato and brie croquettes, smoked turkey with cranberry foie emulsion or whole roasted beef strip loin, cornbread stuffing, and more. GATSBY

Dine-in: Swanky modern American diner Gatsby is open for Thanksgiving dinner service, as well as offering Turkey Day happy hour at the bar from noon to 6 p.m. For $29, the Thanksgiving Feast plate comes with herb-roasted turkey, roasted turnips, brioche and chestnut stuffing, sauteed green beans and crispy shallots, and cranberry sauce. There will also be a holiday cocktail special, the Greta’s Toddy, made with Gentleman Jack whiskey, green chartreuse, Palais des Thés Big Ben black tea, lemon, and honey. Takeout: D.C.’s outpost of shi-shi sushi spot Nobu has several take-home options available during thanksgiving week. Go for a Classic for 2 ($275) with a selection of the restaurant’s signature sushi and sashimi, or the Lux for 2, which includes hot dishes such as Chilean Sea Bass with wasabi and miso, and a beef tenderloin anticucho. RUMI’S KITCHEN

Takeout: For another Middle Eastern Thanksgiving option, look no further than Rumi’s Kitchen, where the team is offering a fully-cooked shawarma-spiced whole roasted lamb shoulder. The lamb feeds 8-10 people and is accompanied by torshi (pickled vegetables), green chili chutney, and pickled onions. YELLOW

Takeout: Desserts are oftentimes the most important part of a Thanksgiving meal, and Yellow is ready to give your table a Levantine twist. The cafe is offering a pumpkin goat labne cheesecake, a tahini pecan pie, a cookie box, and a golden date labne coffeecake for pick up available on Nov. 22 and 23. The full menu is available here. OPEN CRUMB

Takeout: This soul food and African cooking spot in Anacostia is offering a little of the traditional — think roast chicken with their signature spice rub — but also some of signature style dishes: braised goat in West African tomato stew, jollof rice, oxtail, and plantains. The whole menu is a la carte, with sides that can serve 4-5 people. They’ve also got your baked goods covered, with rolls and biscuits, or desserts such as Basque cheesecake cupcakes and brownies. CAFE RIGGS

Dine-in: Go Cafe Riggs, the all-day Penn Quarter restaurant inspired by the bustling brasseries of Europe, is offering a Thanksgiving dinner priced at $80 a person including starters, entrees, dessert, sides, and an extensive wine list. DISTRICT WINERY

Takeout: Let’s be honest: a charcuterie board might be the only way to keep a group of hungry people at bay while waiting for Thanksgiving dinner. District Winery aims to meet that particular need with a festive grazing board and wine package offered to-go. The board includes cheeses and meats, lavash flatbread, and accouterments, and come with two bottles of wine. All orders must be placed by Nov. 20 and pick up times are available on Nov. 22 and 23. BARREL

Takeout: Capitol Hill’s Barrel is offering their annual take-home Thanksgiving dinner serving four to six people. The meal includes one whole 12-15 pound brined turkey (choose from uncooked, roasted, or smoked), sides, dessert, and a cocktail in a 25 oz barrel. Approximately 12 servings, that can be filled with Old Fashioned, Manhattan, Boulevardier, Milk Punch, or a Negroni. You get to keep the barrel, and it can be refilled at the restaurant for $50. GRAVITAS

Dine-in: For a tasting-menu option on Thanksgiving Day, Gravitas is offering a special four-course menu priced at $125. Diners can expect holiday favorites alongside some new, Thanksgiving-inspired dishes. BAMMY’S

Takeout: Make it a Caribbean Thanksgiving this year with Bammy’s takeout menu. Diners can choose between Chef Peter Prime’s roasted Creole half turkey, or a smoked and jerked half turkey. Sides include collard greens with coconut milk, macaroni pie with cheddar and grated onion, stuffing with sweet fried plantains and gravy. The meal feeds six and is priced at $270. OFFICINA

Dine-in or takeout: Chef Nicholas Stefanelli is offering two Thanksgiving meal options from Wharf restaurant Officina. The takeout meal includes everything you need for the traditional feast, plus some added surprises such as a mushroom trifolati and a focaccia chestnut stuffing. Orders are now live and can be picked up on Tuesday Nov. 22. At the restaurant, diners will enjoy a family style Thanksgiving meal starting at $79 per person and $35 for children 10 years and younger. HANK’S OYSTER BAR

Takeout: Although Hank’s Oyster Bar is mostly known for their seafood, they’re putting aside the raw bar this Thanksgiving and offering a traditional feast to-go. For $180, the meal includes a citrus-glazed and roasted half turkey, gravy, rolls, cranberry sauce, hasselback sweet potatoes, green bean casserole, roasted carrots, and caramelized onion and mushroom stuffing. CHANG CHANG

Takeout: Chef Peter Chang’s newest restaurant has opened in Dupont Circle, and it’s bringing the heat to Thanksgiving this year. The team is offering a carryout Thanksgiving dinner for two, priced at $150, complete with six courses of modern Chinese cooking. The meal includes cumin sweet potato, sweet gem lettuce salad, scallion dinner rolls, Chinese long beans, a whole chicken with garlic soy gravy, and kabocha pie. BRESCA

Dine-in: Michelin-starred restaurant Bresca is open on Thanksgiving day to bring tasting-menu inclined diners a holiday dinner worth celebrating.
