Metro Rail services are expected to be fairly reliable for riders this weekend.

Whether you need to make it to dinner on Thursday or to grab some last minute Thanksgiving supplies, it’s looking like a pretty reliable week and weekend for riders. Metro will open at 7 a.m. and close at 1 a.m. on Saturday, and close at midnight Sunday.

With the exception to some “minor adjustments” on the Red Line, riders will have a lot to be thankful for, as trains will serve all 97 stations with normal or near normal service on all lines. Unless of course you’re waiting for the train service on the Yellow Line, in which case you’ll be waiting a long time. As in, until May 2023.

Luckily, Yellow Line trains will be served by the Blue or Green Line. Blue Plus services will be operating between Huntington and New Carrollton. Additional services from the Green Line will operate between Branch Avenue and Greenbelt.

Here’s more from Metro:

Red Line

  • Trains run every 12 minutes.
  • Minor adjustments to train frequencies due to radio cable installation and maintenance at Glenmont Yard

Orange Line

  • Trains run every 15 minutes.

Silver Line

  • Trains run every 15 minutes.

Green Line

  • Trains run every 8 minutes.

Yellow Line

  • The Yellow Line is closed until spring 2023.
  • Due to the Yellow Line tunnel and rehabilitation project, Yellow Line trains will be served by the Blue or Green lines instead. Blue Plus service will operate between Huntington and New Carrollton. Additional Green Line service will operate between Branch Ave and Greenbelt.

Blue Line

  • Normal Blue Line train service runs every 15 minutes between Franconia-Springfield and Downtown Largo.
  • Blue Plus train service runs every 15 minutes between Huntington and New Carrollton.
