Update: The list of headliners just keeps getting bigger! British-Japanese pop star Rina Sawayama, ‘Lesbian Jesus’ Hayley Kiyoko, and RuPaul’s Drag Race All-Star Monet X Change are joining Disney and Broadway legend Idina Menzel on the Capital Pride stage.

Rina Sawayama is fresh off of her US/UK tour and is known for her hits such as “XS” off her debut album, SAWAYAMA and “This Hell” from her latest work, Hold The Girl. Hayley Kiyoko, another recognizable Disney face (shout-out to the Lemonade Mouth fans), has stretched her wings as a queer pop artist known for her nuanced storytelling, lyricism, and choreography. Highlights of her post-Disney success include her two albums, Expectations and PANORAMA. Monet X Change is a New York City native with a stacked resume winning Miss Congeniality in Season 10 of RuPaul’s Drag Race before winning season 4 of the spin-off All-Stars, and locking down runner-up status in the All-Stars All-Winners season. X Change is known for her comedy, lip-syncing, opera chops, and hosting skills on her own talk show and her podcast with Bob the Drag Queen, Sibling Rivalry.

Your butchered practice of “Let It Go” at karaoke will finally pay off this June: Elsa herself is coming to D.C. Actress and Broadway star Idina Menzel will be joined by Debbie Gibson and Shanice at the Capital Pride Concert, organizers announced Thursday.

Menzel is known for her breakout role as Maureen in the Broadway musical, Rent, and as the starring role of Elphaba in Broadway’s Wicked. And, of course, she is the infamous voice of Elsa in Disney’s Frozen who sings the Oscar award-winning single “Let It Go.”

At this year’s Capital Pride, Menzel will be singing a different kind of tune and performing music from her upcoming dance album “Drama Queen.” Also included in the lineup are ’80s and ’90s pop icon Debbie Gibson and ’90s singer songwriter Shanice. Gibson is known for hit songs including “Lost in Your Eyes” and “Foolish Beat” and Grammy-nominated Shanice is known for her song, ” I Love Your Smile.”

The concert will be held June 11. Capital Pride plans to announce a few additional acts for the concert next week.

“We are thrilled to bring these strong LGBTQ+ allies and music legends to our Capital Pride Concert Stage this year as we reflect on our heritage and prepare for our 50th Anniversary celebration concert for WorldPride in 2025!” PRIDE Radio Program Director and Capital Pride Entertainment Chair Jerry Houston said in a statement. “There is much more to come.”

The concert caps off a weekend of celebration at the Capital Pride Festival, which also includes a parade on Saturday around Dupont Circle. On Sunday, attendees can enjoy three stages of international, local, and regional performers and participate in the Capitol Sunset Dance Party with DJ Tracy Young, all at 3rd Street and Pennsylvania Avenue NW.

The festival is free to the public and open from noon to 10 p.m. Tickets are available for special access to the concert pit and VIP concert experience.
