BAKING YESTERYEAR: Online personality and baker B. Dylan Hollis will be taking the Sixth & I stage alongside fellow social media extraordinaire — and one of the masterminds behind the WaPo TikTok — Dave Jorgenson. The two will discuss Hollis’ new book Baking Yesteryear, which features 101 recipes that you can integrate into your baking repertoire. SLOW BURN LIVE: Want to learn more about Clarence Thomas’s life and career? Slow Burn: Becoming Justice Thomas host Joel Anderson has got you covered. Through conversations with friends and colleagues of Thomas, Anderson will provide even more insight into the motivations of the Supreme Court Justice. (The Hamilton; 7:30 p.m.; $20-$60)

SUNSET YOGA: Radiance Basden is back for another installment of her sunset yoga series. As with previous sessions, Basden will be teaching attendees about holistic healing practices and how to integrate them into daily habits. This week’s event will feature the music of Lauryn Hill. PROFS AND PINTS: Did you know that D.C. had an important role to play in the history of Uber? In advance of her book on the topic, Georgetown postdoctoral fellow Katie Wells will be discussing the rise of the ride sharing app and how D.C. was the first city to fight back against the company. MAKE YOUR OWN JAM: With countless fruits in season during the summer, it’s the perfect time to make jam, and it can be done pretty easily at home. Common Good City Farm’s workshop will teach participants about how to make and can fruit. WOMEN’S WORLD CUP WATCH PARTIES: The U.S. Women’s soccer team may have won against Vietnam, but this week brings another match when the team plays the Netherlands Wednesday. Although the match is on the later side, venues including Arlington Cinema and Drafthouse, metrobar, and As You Are will be hosting viewing parties. (various locations; 9 pm; FREE)

RENT IN CONCERT: Wednesday marks the first night of RENT in Concert, a three night event devoted to Jonathan Larson’s iconic musical. The National Symphony Orchestra will perform the complete soundtrack, accompanied by Broadway performers like Andrew Barth Feldman, Ali Stroker, and DC local Myles Frost. SUMMER GATHERING DINNER: Summer is prime time for dinner parties, and who better to host a dinner party than the Rising Culinary Star of the Year? Marcelle Afram, who won the title at this year’s RAMMY Awards, is hosting a pop up summer gathering dinner, alongside fellow chefs Erik Bruner-Yang and Toya Henry. The meal, which is four courses, will combine Palestinian, Caribbean, and Southeast Asian flavors while also highlighting quintessential summer ingredients. (Maketto; 6 p.m.; $136.50)

SUMMER GROOVEFEST: Thursday concludes the American Pops Orchestra concert series. This week’s performance “Mirrorball Magic” features performers Billy Gilman, Sydney James Harcourt, and Hilary Morrow. (City Center; 7:30 p.m.; FREE)

THE GRANDSONS: Don’t want to trek into the city for a free concert? Glen Echo also has its own summer concert series. This week’s performers are The Grandsons, a local roots rock and Americana band. (Bumper Car Pavilion at Glen Echo; 7:30 p.m.; FREE)

KING OF THE ARMADILLOS: Author Wendy Chin-Tanner will be discussing her first novel, King of the Armadillos, with former NPR editor Pam Fessler in a hybrid event. The book follows a young man who is forced to quarantine at a federal institution after getting diagnosed with leprosy. Inspired by Chin-Tanner’s own father’s experience, the book is a tender coming-of-age novel that explores a forgotten community. (East City Bookshop; 7 p.m.; FREE)
