SHIFT AND CONSERVE: For the first week of the year, the Washington Monument will share its section of the National Mall with a new art installation. Positioned in the building’s shadow, SHIFT is a collaboration between the Lisa Wood Studio and the World Land Trust designed to make visitors contemplate sustainability and consumption. YOU CAN’T UNRING A BELL: If you were out of town for the opening of Honfleur Gallery’s newest exhibit, you still have time to check it out. “You Can’t Unring the Bell” by Terence Nicholson, explores the intersection of spirituality and the human experience and provides insight into the artist’s experience living in D.C. from the Marion Berry years until now.
