SPRUNG COMEDY FESTIVAL: Laugh your way into the weekend at SPRUNG! Comedy Festival, a comedy festival that kicked off at Silver Spring Black Box Theatre on Wednesday and runs through Sunday. The festival’s eclectic lineup includes a native comedy night on Thursday, an immigrant and first generation showcase on Saturday, and a queer romance show on Sunday. BLACK HISTORY FILM FESTIVAL: Save yourself $15 and catch a movie for free this weekend at the DC Black History Film Festival. This two-day community event brings movies highlighting Black history, such as The Legacy of Lee’s Flower Shop and Storming Caesars Palace, to Lincoln Theatre on Friday and Alamo Drafthouse on Saturday.
