Here’s when you will and won’t need tickets to enter.
The institution suspended its ticketing program on weekdays for the month of September as part of a pilot program to test free entry. Now the timed tickets are back.

Woman Who Helped Obama Ring Bell At African American History Museum Opening Dies At 100
Ruth Odom Bonner, the daughter of a slave, was 100 years old when she passed away in Silver Spring on Friday.
“He symbolized possibility—he symbolized that it was really important that America was changing and his presence was a symbol of that change,” the museum’s director said.
