You’d need way more than a day to hit all of D.C.’s Black-owned establishments, so we picked some highlights and came up with an agenda for spending a day sampling as many as possible.

From special exhibits to ballet performances, there are many ways to engage with Black history in the D.C. region throughout February.

This Black History Month, volunteers have joined the Smithsonian in transcribing more than 1,500 pages of historic records.
