Science-fiction writer Octavia Butler’s typewriter, the Lt. Nyota Uhura costume from “Star Trek,” and Sun Ra’s space harp are a few of the other objects that will be on display at the new exhibit.

The pieces look right at home in the Afrofuturistic world of the blockbuster film.
