A City Agency Removed 250 Campaign Signs For A D.C. Council Challenger. Officials Say It Was An ‘Honest Mistake’
Ward 4 candidate Janeese Lewis George’s campaign signs were taken down by the Department of Public Works last week.
The campaign of Janeese Lewis George, who’s running for the Ward 4 D.C. Council seat, made the announcement Wednesday.
That leaves two Democratic challengers vying for the seat held by incumbent Brandon Todd, who’s seeking the position for the third time.
Janeese Lewis George says “Ward 4 deserves a strong, independent voice that is going to be unbossed and unbought by developers, contractors, and the current [mayoral] administration.”

This isn’t the first time D.C. Councilmember Brandon Todd has faced sanctions related to his campaigns for office.
