The White House today published a picture of President Obama shooting clay targets at Camp David last August, part of an attempt to quiet the chorus of skeptics who doubted Obama’s recent claim in an interview with The New Republic that he occasionally shoots for sport.
Washington might be able to handle international summits without blinking an eye, but it’s not something that officials in Frederick, Maryland are used to. They’ll have to learn quickly—Frederick is the closest city to the upcoming G8 Summit at Camp David.

Sentencing Continues for Really Bad Kid
A friend of 20-year-old Bethesda resident Collin McKenzie-Gude, who pleaded guilty in September to some serious business, says that McKenzie-Gude really, really doesn’t like President Barack Obama. Not Gordon-Brown-casual-insult doesn’t like Barack Obama. As in stockpiled-bomb-making-chemicals doesn’t like Barack Obama. A seriously deluded Patrick Yevsukov, 18, testified under an immunity deal about plans made between McKenzie-Gude, Yevsukov, and Yevsukov’s father to assassinate the President. ABC7 has a story on McKenzie-Gude’s ongoing sentencing that’s almost too…

Obamas Pick Camp David Church
Photo by brmurray The Obamas have finally ended the speculation about which D.C. church they would join – by picking none of them, Amy Sullivan reports in Time magazine. Instead, President Obama has reportedly decided to make the same choice as George W. Bush, and worship at Evergreen Chapel, the nondenominational church at Camp David. Residents of the Northwest neighborhood are a little angry that increased police patrols — caused by a rash of thefts — have led to a higer number of parking tickets, or so writes the Washington Times. And what does the police have to say about that? Writes the Times: An official in the police department’s 2nd District, which includes…

We Watch So You Don’t Have To
It turns out that NBC’s promos for “The West Wing” are true. It’s a big season of change. Unfortunately, it’s not a change for the better. This week, “The West Wing” continues it resurrection as “ER:Redux.” We’re still at Camp David as the president tries to bagger the Israeli prime minister and Palestine leader into a peace accord. No dice, though as both men are as stubborn as Jed himself. The Israeli PM basically flips…
