Out of Frame: Jersey Boys
The songs may be easy on the ears, but Clint Eastwood’s adaptation of the popular Broadway musical is not easy on the eyes.
The actor and director, last seen at the Republican National Convention berating an empty chair, appears in a new ad paid for by Karl Rove’s American Crossroads.
On the final day of the Republican National Convention, our D.C. delegate went through the media wringer, kicked it with Journey and saw Mitt Romney accept his party’s nomination for president. And then there was Clint Eastwood.

Out of Frame: Invictus
Morgan Freeman and Matt Damon are great, but Eastwood’s ‘Invictus’ is less than the sum of their parts. Some movies are impervious to criticism. Concert Preview: Jeff Daniels @ Wolftrap
While his star turns in Terms of Endearment and The Squid and the Whale suggested a softer side, we had no idea that the still waters of Jeff Daniels ran quite so deep. Turns out the actor has been compiling a cache of folk songs over the past 30 years, and will be showcasing them at Wolftrap tonight. While it’d be fun to rake Dumb (or was he Dumber?) over the coals for doing the…
