D.C.’s largest public-sector unions endorsed At-Large Councilmember Robert White, while several big-name private-sector unions went for Mayor Muriel Bowser.

The bill would require D.C. Attorney General Karl Racine to conduct a study on how D.C. Police assesses and responds to demonstrations.

The bill comes in the wake of an environmental analysis showing that 17 D.C. school playgrounds contained elevated levels of lead.
