Located at 257 15th Street SE, Curbside Cafe is selling coffee, lattes, homemade poptarts and other pastries.

The cupcakery will open in the former Crepes on the Corner space at 257 15th Street SE later this year.

Starting at noon, the popular D.C. food truck chain Curbside Cupcakes will park its vehicles at Metro Center and on Capitol Hill to distribute free cupcakes. Sounds awesome, right?

Last Thursday and Friday, over 18,500 people stood in long lines at the Curbside Cookoff in order to get a taste from D.C.’s favorite food vendors. At that time, they were asked to text in votes for the vendor they felt deserving of the first-ever 2010 Curbside Cookoff Curby Award. The lucky winner? Curbside Cupcakes. The runners-up were (in order): Red Hook Lobster Truck, BBQ Bandidos, District Taco and Pleasant Pops.
