A federal appeals court ruled this week that DACA is illegal but will continue to allow current recipients to renew their status. 

Chief Justice Roberts wrote the majority 5-4 decision arguing that the Trump administration’s decision to end the DACA program was “arbitrary and capricious.”

The former president followed through on a pledge to speak out about plans to end DACA.
