Some legislators in Prince George’s County want to be able to weigh in on whether new fast food restaurants can set up shop.
On Thursday, Burger King will introduce nationwide the bacon ice cream sundae, a new concoction in which every advertised ingredient seems awesome.
Over the past sixty years, the hamburgers, soft drinks and bags of french fries served up by fast-food restaurants have grown many times over, according to data collected by the CDC. As a very obvious result, so have we.
Many of you are exhibiting a near-obsessive excitement regarding Bojangles’ opening in Union Station. But those who have stopped by the Union Station food court today in the hope of securing some chicken and biscuits for lunch have so far been cruelly greeted by a black curtain, understandably leading to massive disapointment.

Bojangles In Union Station Opens Next Thursday
It may have taken around ten months, but we now know that Bojangles’ Famous Chicken ‘n Biscuits will be opening up inside Union Station on March 31st. It’s still the first Bojangles’ in the District proper — are you people still as excited about this as you were in May 2010?
I realize that many of you think we need another burger joint in this city like we need a hole drilled into our skulls, but — like it or not — Shake Shack coming to town is kind of a big deal. Today, DCist reader Amy Bocian spotted this sign outside of what will surely be the scene of long queues for the Shack’s vaunted griddle burgers, onion rings and krinkle-cut fries at 1216 18th Street NW.

Z-Burger Offering 99-Cent St. Paddy’s Milkshakes
St. Patrick’s Day doesn’t offer much for teetotalers, aside from lots of drunk people and corned beef and cabbage. But today from 3-6 p.m., Z-Burger in Tenleytown will be offering their mint chocolate milkshakes for 99 cents.
Care for a donut with that footlong sub? Signage on the northeast corner of the 14th and U Streets NW intersection now indicates that a Dunkin’ Donuts will be joining Subway as anchor tenants on the first floor of the building, which will also house a restaurant and lounge helmed by Local 16 owner Aman Ayoubi.

Subway “Opening Soon” In Empty 14th and U Space
As your editor-in-chief stepped outside this morning for a brief stroll, he couldn’t help but notice that the long-vacant piece of prime real estate located on the northeast corner of the 14th and U Street NW intersection had a new feature: a sign indicating that a Subway restaurant was “opening soon.”
