Police in the District are still looking for suspects in the tragic death of an infant girl that was left outside a home in Northeast on a freezing winter night in mid-January.

Many a movie start this way — a newborn infant is left on someone’s doorstep, most often a loving family that nurtures the child so that it can become a well-rounded adult. But the reality certainly isn’t so happy.
