D.C. Bills To Allow Noncitizens To Vote, Make Mail Voting Permanent Head To Mayor Bowser’s Desk
The bill passed with little opposition, though one lawmaker said some immigrants don’t have enough of a cultural connection to D.C. and the country to be able to vote.
The state BOE took legal action to address mail-in ballot-counting after it took more than a month to certify a winner of the Montgomery County Executive Democratic primary.
Virginia voters have until 5 p.m. Friday to sign up for an absentee ballot, by using an online portal or by completing a paper application.
