It’s expected 75,000 people will rally at the steps of the Lincoln Memorial to mark the 60th anniversary of the historic March on Washington.
More than 1,000 religious leaders are expected to attend the “One Thousand Ministers March for Justice” rally on Monday to honor Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and rally against President Donald Trump’s leadership in light of the deadly rally in Charlottesville.

Sunday Hours at MLK Library Restored at Last Minute
With no time to spare, the D.C. Public Library announced today that the money needed to keep Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Library open on Sundays had been found.
Chinese sculptor Lei Yi Xin, the chief sculptor of the soon-to-be-unveiled Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial, has now finished his work on the piece, located near the Tidal Basin. Oh, did we mention that Lei sculpted the 28-foot memorial from memory?
For the second time in his term, President Obama attended Sunday MLK Jr. holiday weekend services at the Metropolitan African Methodist Episcopal Church in Northwest, often called the national cathedral of black Methodist churches.
