Judge Rejects Trump’s Transgender Military Ban
It was “not genuinely based on legitimate concerns regarding military effectiveness or budget constraints, but are instead driven by a desire to express disapproval of transgender people generally.”
“We hoped that the ill-advised ban would languish on the president’s Twitter feed, but unfortunately, he turned the tweets into a directive banning open transgender service.”
The chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff told military leaders that the military will not make any changes to its policy regarding transgender service members until the president clarifies what he means.
