The Capital Running Company has been organizing the St. Patrick’s Day 8K run since 1988. It started as a 10K with a little over 1,000 registrants and has morphed into a shorter race with nearly 7,000 runners.

The new kid visits A. Litteri, Inc. The Morse Street Italian market has been serving the D.C. area since 1926.

In an effort to keep learning about this fine federal district beyond what the guidebooks have offered, I plan to head to a different landmark, restaurant, shop or institution each week. First stop: Congressional Cemetery.
